Sea Kayak Adventure Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Paignton, paddle to wild campsite

Wake up and grab breakfast before meeting at your departure beach at 9:30 – a short walk from your accommodation (remember to take a packed lunch). From here you’ll be waving goodbye to town, civilisation and the stresses of modern day life.

Setting off, it won’t be long before your group will traverse the stunning coastline of South Devon. Over the day you’ll spend the time between exploring sea caves, stopping on remote beaches, spotting wildlife and fishing from your kayak. As the day draws to an end you’ll be pitching up at a secluded camp & enjoying a rustic meal of Mackerel and foraged shellfish, cooked on an open fire. A glass of red wine will help to wash the meal down before a night under the stars.

Day 2Leave wild campsite and return to Paignton

Nothing beats a night spent under canvas with the waves crashing against the shore as a backing track. Once you’ve woken up, marvel at the beauty of your surroundings, soon it’ll be time to pack up and get back in your kayak. Today you’ll be paddling back along the coast, but this time exploring all of the sea caves you passed the previous day and spending time watching the local seal colony.

Each day you will be paddling for approx. 6 hours.

Adventure Weekend FAQ's

Do I need experience?

Absolutely not!. This trip is great for beginners all the way up to those who are experienced in sea kayaking. The sit-on-top kayaks are extremely safe and stable. This trip is fully guided by extremely experienced ‘kayakers’ who will give you clear instructions and training throughout.

Is this sea kayaking adventure suitable for solo's?

Yes! This mini-escape is perfect for those who are joining on their own. During your days out on the water and in the camp in the evening there will be plenty of time to bond and mingle with your c0-adventurers. The small group size means that it shouldn’t take you long to get to know everyone in the group.

PLEASE NOTE: as this is a group trip we cannot promise that you’ll have your own tent, however we do always try and make sure that if you are sharing a tent that it is with somebody of the same gender. Once you’ve booked we will discuss this with you and make sure that you know exactly what the situation is and change it based on your preferences.
