This is an amazing bikepacking adventure weekend suitable for novices and experts, that is located in the breath-taking Cotswold Hills or Brecon Beacons.

You’ll enjoy a relaxing bike packing adventure weekend, which will provide you with the opportunity to unwind, relax and challenge yourself during an adventurous 2 day break. You can either organise your own or join a small group exploring some of the ‘classic’ and best adventure cycling routes in Southern England and Wales. We also offer ‘women only’ escapes lead by Rickie Cotter an accomplished guide and semi-professional cyclist!

During your escape you’ll develop your off-road cycling skills, experience wild camping (and depending on the route, wild swimming), enjoy the simple pleasures of cooking outside, sitting beside the warmth of a campfire – at all times surrounded by nature.

This is a great multi-activity break – perfect for those looking to escape from town or city.

Bikepacking Adventure Weekend - Itinerary

Day 1Meet up and head off on an your adventure

Depending on the location of your bikepacking adventure weekend you’ll either be met in Bath or Brecon by your escape guides, Darroch and Rickie – an extremely welcoming and experienced pair of mountain bike guides.

You’ll then head off and ‘meet’ your trusty bike for the next two days before packing all of your equipment into your various framebags (pack light!). Then you’re off.

During your ride you’ll be guided by Darroch and Rickie at all times, who’ll be able to impart some useful hints and tips along the way. Our riding style is focused on enjoyment and adventure as opposed to white knuckle down hill descents.

Your route each day will take between 6-8 hours to complete with stops en route to enjoy coffee, cake and lunch! In the evening you’ll either be stopping to camp in a small campsite or more likely wild camping in a suitably magical spot.

Day 2Wake up in nature, relax, explore and unwind.

You’ll start your second day by being woken with the rising sun, to the sounds of birdsong (perfection!). As you head off for another day’s biking, with your confidence and skill growing you’ll be able to put some of your new experience to the test.

As you arrive back to your start point you’ll feel a real sense of achievement and will no doubt be already planning your next bikepacking adventure.

Front and rear lights
Basic toolkit including multitool, pump, tyre levers, repair patches and spare inner tube

Essential equipment for EVERYONE:
2 x 750ml Water bottles or 1.5 Litre hydration pack as a minimum

What about the weather?

Unfortunately with the British climate we sometimes have rain during our time out on the bikes. In anticipation we require you to pack accordingly with waterproofs etc.

Unless we see stormy weather forecast ahead the session will still go ahead in wet weather.

Can I wear glasses/contacts during my bikepacking adventure weekend?

Absolutely. We suggest securing them to yourself with a piece of string or band so as not to lose them. In addition taking glasses cleaners is a great idea. Daily throw away contact lenses are also a great option.
